The Solidarity Fund
Fresh fruit and veg shouldn't be a luxury. We believe everyone should have access to food that's good for people and the planet – and the Solidarity Fund is our community's way of making that real.
What is it?
In June 2022, the members of Kentish Town Vegbox voted to create the Solidarity Fund to subsidise veg bags for members of our community facing hardship. If money is tight, the fund pays for a low-income discount on your weekly bag – no questions asked, just tick the box when you sign up. We also accept Healthy Start vouchers.
Inequality in Camden and Islington is a serious issue, with both boroughs ranked among the most unequal communities in the country – and with the cost of energy, food and rent rising, some of our members are feeling the crunch. We don't want anyone to have to give up their membership because of financial constraints.

Donations from members and supporters subsidise discounted bags directly – and for every contribution you make, Vegbox adds another £1 of its own. A small regular amount goes a long way:
